Kennedy Karioki Ndungu passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 in a fire at his home in Topeka, Kansas.
Kennedy was born on January 7, 1993 in Nairobi, Kenya to Peter Ndungu Karioki and the late Margaret Wanjiku Ndungu. His father lived and worked in Topeka at Frito Lay for many years but retired and relocated to Kenya, his mother was a teacher in the Topeka school system and a lifetime scholar.
Kennedy moved from Kenya to Kansas with his parents and siblings when he was 7 years old. He began his education in Kenya at St. Patrick's hill school in Kiserian. In Kansas he attended Shaner elementary, Jardine middle school and Topeka West High School all in Topeka, KS. Kennedy also briefly attended Washburn University.
Kennedy was a dedicated dad to his son Caiden and was passionate about his family. He had a kind heart and loving spirit and his radiant smile lit up the room. He was an intelligent and industrious young man and was readying to go back to school for his business degree. At 25, he had much to live for; so much light to share and so many more memories to create with his loved ones. He will forever be in our hearts and will be missed and remembered fondly.
