Kathryn Ann Planz, 94, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Topeka, KS.
Kathryn was born November 17, 1922, the daughter of Bert F. and Kate (Couch) Planz. She lived in Topeka all her life. Kathryn graduated from Topeka High School in 1940 and attended Strickler's Topeka Business College. She was employed for the same company for almost 45 years. The company changed by merger three times, eventually becoming a part of Bank of America. Most of her service was with Bankers Investment Co. for 28 years. Kathryn was a long-time member of First Baptist Church, Topeka. She was a volunteer at the Kansas Museum of History for 15 years.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Manor of Topeka - Good Samaritan Fund, 4712 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66606; Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606; or First Baptist Church, 3033 SW MacVicar Ave, Topeka, KS 66611.
