Kathryn Offen
Kathryn F. Offen, 90, passed away on April 10, 2008. Kathryn was a life long Topeka resident who graduated from Topeka High School and Washburn University. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She will be remembered for the many years she was associated with her family as a partner at Offens Hardward in Topeka. She was a gifted watercolor artist who enjoyed sharing her enthusiasm with other artists.
She is survived by her sister, Olga Persson of Fort Myers, Florida, two nephews and six nieces. She was preceded in death by her sister Ardella LaVerne Winterburg of Lawrence, Kansas, and her brother Charles Offen of Walnut Creek, California.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka YWCA or the Washburn Art Department Scholarship Fund. Memorial services will be scheduled by the family at a later time at Mount Hope Cemetery.
