Kathleen F. (Oyler) Moss Campbell, 82, Smith Center, passed away on June 7, 2008. She was born on May 3, 1926 in Reading, Kansas, the daughter of Philip and Anna (Witham) Oyler. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1944.
Kathleen married Neal Moss on December 31, 1943 in Lawrence, Kansas. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1995. Kathleen and Neal had three children: Ronald (Judy) Moss, Deanna (Pete) Larsen, and John (Michele) Moss, all of Topeka; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Kathleen's sister, Margaret Holeman, Grove, OK, survives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Moss; her parents; her brother, William Oyler, sister-in-law Al Jean Oyler, and brother-in-law Max Holeman.
Kathleen worked for the State of Kansas for 30 years in various departments including KCC, Legislature and the Board of Education.
Kathleen married Doyt Campbell on June 23, 1998. He survives. They lived in Smith Center, Kansas, and enjoyed wintering in Texas.
She was a member of the Smith Center VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Kathleen enjoyed athletics. She had a passion for bowling and was Secretary of the Topeka Women's Bowling Association.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Wednesday, June 11 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Kathleen will lie in-state at noon on Tuesday, June 10. The family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 - 7:30 PM.
