Kathleen Martin Taylor

Kathleen Martin Taylor, 82, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006.

Kathleen was born August, 9, 1923, daughter of Paul G. Martin and Margaret (Armantrout) Martin.

She graduated from Topeka High School and Washburn University with a B.A. and a M.A. in Literature. She worked as a secretary for Burgwin and Martin for seven years and later taught at Jardine Junior High for a short time.

She married Douglas M. Reeve in 1946; they later divorced. She then married Paul David Taylor in 1958; he passed away April 15, 2006.

Kathleen was a Kappa Alpha Theta Alumni, a member of PEO Chapter DV, and started the Topeka Celiac Sprue Support Group; in her spare time she enjoyed golfing and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Candace Reeve and Douglas M. Reeve, Jr., both of Lawrence, KS, and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Paul Thomas Martin, La Jolla, CA.

Memorial services for Mrs. Taylor will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20th at the Brewster Place Chapel, 1205 S.W. 29th, lower level, in Topeka. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
