Kathaleen Christen Ann Garcia, 46, of Haltom City, Texas passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020.
Kathy was born December 19, 1973, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Debra P. Stark (Durham) and Robert J. Garcia Sr. She graduated from Highland Park High School and received her Associates of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies from Washburn University and an insurance license adjuster's license from Kaplan College in Arlington.
Kathy enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews as well as the children of extended family and friends. Kathy also loved to travel and spend time on the lake and near the ocean on her many travels to Mexico, the Dominion Republic, and many other tropical destinations. Although she lived in Texas, she remained a faithful Kansan, loyal KU basketball and football fan and never far from home or family.
Kathy worked for Noteboom Law Firm in Hurst, Texas as a Legal Assistant. Chuck Noteboom stated "Kathy was an invaluable member of their firm. She was extremely caring, loyal, and fiercely loved her family and friends. She enjoyed her life to the fullest with honesty and integrity. Kathy was a leader with a no-nonsense attitude and infectious smile."
She will be remembered by having one of the brightest smiles and contagious laughs that would light up every room. Her love for life, kindhearted spirit, and willingness to help others transcends countless family members and friends and leaves behind an honorable and compassionate legacy that will long not be forgotten.
Kathy married David A. Miller, they later divorced. Survivors include her Mother Debra P. Stark; Father Robert J. Garcia Sr.; Sister Marci Garcia; Brothers Rob Garcia Jr., and Michael Partridge Jr.; Nieces Courtney LeAnn Garcia, and Avery Rose Garcia; Nephews Kamden T. Partridge, Robert (Bobby) Garcia III, and Sawyer Eugene Partridge and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and all of her friends whom she considered family.
She was preceded in death by her Grandmother Peggy Ann Woodworth Durham; Grandfather Eugene E. Durham Sr.; Stepfather Michael D. Partridge Sr.; Grandfather Henry Garcia, and Grandmother Marcella Garcia.

Due to the circumstance surrounding COVID-19 space will be limited allowing for family members to be seated. Masks must be worn, and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 9th, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Matthew Catholic Church, 2700 SE Virginia. A rosary will be prayed thirty minutes prior to the service time. Private interment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Topeka.
