Karen Sue Jameson, 62, Topeka, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016.

Karen was born October 7, 1953 in Topeka to Homer and Olive Jameson. She attended preschool and special education classes in Topeka public schools. She attended TARC programs and later the workshop program where she was for many years. Karen loved going to Loving Hearts.

She loved bowling and was proud of the many trophies that she won. She enjoyed the weekly coffee house and other social events sponsored by TARC and Sheltered Living. Karen was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church.

Her parents and brother, Robert Jameson preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Morris (Lloyd), Topeka; her nephews, Rick Morris (Pat), McKinney, TX, Brad Morris, Goddard, KS, Steve Morris (Cindy), Overbrook, KS; and niece, Stacy Bungiro (Rick) Madison, CT; and loving great nephews and nieces; and many cousins.

The family thanks the many people through the years who have cared for her. Karen will be remembered for her sweet, loveable personality, a winning smile and her love for all her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Mount Hope Funeral Chapel one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sheltered Living, Loving Hearts, Inc., T.A.R.C. or Grace Hospice.
