Karen E. Lundquist

Karen E. Lundquist, 82, Topeka, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2009 at Lexington Park Nursing Facility.

Karen was born March 13, 1927 in Lacrosse, WI, the daughter of Luther W. and Cecilia (Johnson) Wilson. She attended grade and graduated from high school in Excelsior Springs, MO.

She was employed at Southwestern Bell Telephone in Topeka and Pacific Bell in Los Angeles for several years and retired from Capital Federal Savings after 28 years of service.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 50 years.

Karen married Colonel Albin Lee Lundquist (Ret) on April 24, 1952 in Topeka at Trinity Lutheran Church. He survives.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Karen will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 p.m. on Monday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund at Trinity Lutheran Church, 725 SW Buchanan, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
