June R. Golden, 91, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at a local care center.

June was born July 6, 1927 in Beloit, the daughter of Albert I. and Faye E. (Woolman) Morris. She graduated from Glen Elder High School in 1945 and attended Washburn University.

She was a member of First Congregational Church, Chapter GK of P.E.O. and Alpha Phi Sorority.
June married Lewis Austin Golden in 1948 and they shared nearly 62 years together before his death on January 19, 2010.

Survivors include their children, Paula (Mark) Higgins of Overland Park; Grady (Brenda) Golden of Topeka; and Megan (John) Hay of Lawrence; nine grandchildren, Todd (Lora) Higgins of Overland Park; Ryan (Kara) Higgins of Council Bluffs, IA; Adam (Becky) Higgins of Overland Park; Patrick (Cami) Golden, of Olathe, Nick Golden, of Overland Park, Dylan Hay, of Teluride, CO, Jillian (Chase) Johnson, of Lawrence, Landon Hay, of Atchison, and Chloe (Trey) Bales, of St. Louis, MO; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at First Congregational Church, 1701 Collins in Topeka.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions made to The Lewis and June Golden Golf Scholarship Fund at Washburn University.

Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
