June Angeline Roberts age 92, passed away February 18, 2002 at a Topeka care facility. She was born June 25, 1910 in Wichita, KS the daughter of Bert and Elva L. McFredrick McDowell.
She graduated from Mulvane High School in 1927. She lived in Wichita, KS until 1918. She lived in Marion, KS for 20 years moving to Topeka in 1958. Mrs. Roberts was an Avon Representative for 17 years. She was married to Francis Richard Roberts June 26, 1932 in Newton, KS. He preceded her in death October 23, 1989. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers
Mrs. Roberts was a member of Central Park Christian Church. She was a member of the Caregivers at Veterans Administration Medical Center.
She is survived by :
Three Sons: Paul W. Roberts Topeka, KS
Gerald D. "Gerry" Roberts Kansas City, MO
Donald L. Roberts Wichita, KS
6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Friday, February 21, 2003 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Mrs. Roberts will lie in state from noon to 9:00PM Thursday, February 20, 2003. Family visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 7:30PM that evening. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Park Christian Church 1535 SW Clay, Topeka, KS 66606 or Alzheimer's Association, Topeka Chapter, PO Box 1427 515 Kansas Ave,Topeka, KS 66601
Graveside Services will be held at 4:00PM Friday, at Gard Cemetery near Marion, KS.
