Julie Ann Schalansky, 35, of Topeka, passed away on May 9, 2019 at Midland Hospice House.
She was born on December 3, 1983 in Topeka the daughter of Janet (Painter) Schalansky and Jim Schalansky.
Julie graduated from Topeka High School and went on to earn degrees from Washburn Tech and Washburn University.
Julie was a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She enjoyed softball, playing on multiple teams. She also liked fishing, and going to the family farm in Smith County. Julie loved her animals, Sugar, Tangee, and Tommy.
She is survived by mother, Janet Schalansky; siblings, Jay (Emily) Schalansky, Jill Schalansky; nephews, Chase Schalansky, Gavin Schalansky; nieces, Campbell Frisby, Charlotte Schalansky; grandmother, Florence Painter; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Jim Schalansky; grandparents, Albert and Lucille Schalansky, Melvin Painter; and aunt, Brenda Painter Ascher.
The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening, May 13, 2019 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka.
A celebration of Julie's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Lowman United Methodist Church, 4101 SW 15th St, Topeka, KS 66604. Private burial will take place at a later date in Smith County.
