Julian Hernandez
Julian G. Hernandez, 87, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at Midland Hospice House.
He was born February 16, 1919 in Topeka, the son of Catarino and Juana Hernandez.
He married Refugia Perez. She preceded him in death in 2004. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Serjio Hernandez.
Survivors include two sons, Gabino Hernandez of Brawley, CA and Pedro Hernandez, Sr. of Topeka; a daughter, Hope Burns-Carter of Topeka; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Mr. Hernandez will lie in state after 2:00 pm, Sunday June 4 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where a Rosary will be recited beginning at 6:30 pm that evening with a visitation to follow until 8:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at10:00 am, Monday June 5 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
