Julia Rosemary Clements Robinson, age 93, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on Feb. 4, 2021, at Homestead of Topeka.
Julia was born Sept. 19, 1927, in Topeka, Kansas, to John and Nira Clements. She graduated from Topeka Catholic High School and married Gerald Robinson on June 5, 1948. A lifelong Topeka resident, she worked as an executive secretary for several local businesses. In her free time, she enjoyed roller skating, swimming, playing the organ, gardening, baking and canning. In later years, she picked up golfing, spent the winters in Alamo, Texas, and volunteered at her church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Faye Cook, Phyllis Thompson, Janice Boots and Atha Ann Alu; and husband Gerald Robinson.
Julia is survived by her twin brother John Clements of Centennial, Colorado, and daughter Martha Bergant (Paul) of Rogers, Arkansas. She is also survived by granddaughters, Trisha, Kuffa and Farris; five great-grandchildren, Allie, Drew, Zach, Levon and Lola; and one great-great-grandchild, Hartley.
The best word to describe Julia is love. She loved her family immensely. Her husband, daughter and grandchildren were the apple of her eye, and she was always available for hugs, smiles and encouragement. She was adored by all, and we will miss her sweet smile, her homemade pies and cookies, and her numerous holiday cards with $5 bills.
A private interment will be held in Topeka at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Julia's memory may be sent to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 312 NE Freeman, Topeka, KS 66616.
