Julia A. Gaines, 75, Scranton, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at a Topeka care center.
Julia was born November 2, 1941 in Topeka, the daughter of Cletis and Beryl (Blevins) Bernritter. She attended Seaman High School.
Julia married Victor Gaines on July 24, 1961 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include sons, Vic Gaines, Mel Gaines, both of Meriden, James Gaines, Scranton; 4 grandsons; 2 great-granddaughters, 1 great-grandson; and sisters, Judy Conner, Hubbard, NE, Veryl Cohen, Wakarusa, Cleta Kreutzer, Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bertie Bernritter.
