Judy Marie Shields, Topeka, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012.
She was born October 2, 1942 in Topeka to the late Marvin and Nora Beckert (Holmes). Judy graduated from Topeka High School and was a long-time member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She worked in retail sales before retiring in 2004.
She is survived by her husband, James (Jim); son, Paul (Angie, Ryan, and Brendan) of Wichita; sister, Jane (Richard) of Topeka; sister-in-law Barbara Flach of Paxico; and many other relatives and friends.
A Visitation is scheduled from 3 - 4 PM Friday, January 13th followed by a Rosary immediately thereafter at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Street. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 10:30 AM Saturday, January 14th at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church, 3601 SW 17th Street.
