Judy Louise (Bakke) Comstock of Topeka passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 8th, at the age of 75.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm Monday, December 12, 2022 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Andy Wright will be officiating.
Judy was born in Devils Lake, North Dakota to Willis and Carol Bakke on September 3rd 1947. As the daughter of a military family she lived throughout the United States in Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Alabama and Mead, Nebraska where she graduated from Mead High School. She married Glen David Comstock on August 19th 1967 in Bloomington, MN. She worked for over 20 years as a preschool teacher and found great enjoyment helping 3 year olds further their development. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards with her BUNCO group and meeting her friends for their monthly dinner group.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Willis Bakke.
Survivors include her husband, David Comstock; children, Jason (Angie) Comstock and Emily (Michael) Marusiak; mother, Carol (Bakke) Menzel; brother, David Bakke; and grandchildren, Jeffrey Comstock, Adam and Noah Perrier, Jack Comstock, and Evan and Lillian Marusiak.
She was a devoted daughter and sister and a caring wife, mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her. She was loved by many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Childcare Aware of Kansas or St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

A celebration of Judy's life will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Ozark Prairie Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
