Judith "Judy" Ann Shetter was born September 7, 1936 to Harry Elmer and Nellie Leona Barclay Coup near Manchester, Kansas and died December 21, 2013 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka, Kansas.
She attended several of the Dickinson County country grade schools then graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1954. She attended Asbury School of Nursing in Salina, Kansas graduating with the class of 1957.
On September 8, 1957 she married Lee Arlen Schwab. He died December 30, 1981. To this union was born one son, Keith DaLon Schwab.
On January 8, 1983 she married Lyle T. Shetter of Abilene, Kansas. He died May 21, 1992.
She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Abilene Memorial Hospital in Abilene, Kansas for thirty-two years, retiring in January 1992.
At the time of her death she was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church in Topeka, Kansas where she was active in the United Methodist Women. She served twelve years on the Topeka District United Methodist Women Mission team serving as President the last four years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Keith DaLon Schwab on December 10, 2002 and her parents.
She is survived by brother, Max Coup of McPherson, Kansas; two step-sons, Thaine Shetter of Kingston, New Jersey and Tracy Shetter (wife Janet) of Wichita, Kansas; one niece, Joleen Wehrman; and one nephew, Donavon Coup.
Mrs. Shetter willed her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center for medical research. At her request no memorial service is planned. Memorials may be made to Aldersgate Village Good Samaritan Fund, 7220 SW Asbury Drive, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
