Judith A. Myron, 95, of Topeka, KS, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014.
She was born February 11, 1919, in Halstad, Minnesota, the daughter of Bernt Marius and Borghild (Bjorvik) Sether. She was a 1956 graduate of School of Cake Decorating in St. Paul, MN.
Judith was self-employed as a cake decorator. She owned and operated Scandinavian gift shops in Fargo, ND. She was a creative artist who especially enjoyed and excelled in china painting and held classes in her home for several years.
Mrs. Myron was a member of First Lutheran Church, Topeka and a 26 year member of Sons of Norway Lodge, Fargo, ND.
Judith married Albert Rensvold on October 26, 1940 in Perley, MN. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1968. She married W. Clair Myron on June 5, 1976 in Moorhead, MN. He preceded her in death on August 20, 2011.
Judith and Albert farmed near Gardner, ND until 1956 when they moved to the Fargo/Moorhead area. She enjoyed her lake home on Cotton Lake near Detroit Lakes, MN, and in later years she and Clair moved to Topeka, KS to be near family.
Judith was a gentle mother and grandmother, known for her kind and loving nature. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley (Paul) Galbraith, Topeka and Sandra (Thomas) Christenson, Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren, Kathryn (Joseph) Montague, Topeka, Christopher (Marilyn) Borchert, Lincoln, NE, Jennifer (John) Carney, Topeka, Cate (Jason) Rysavy, Minneapolis, MN, Tyler (Maya) Christenson, Minneapolis, MN, and Karl (Christine) Christenson, Madison, WI; 11 great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Slivka, Morgan Borchert, Kimberly Borchert, Connor Montague, Nicole Montague, Allison Montague, Joshua Carney, Jacob Carney, Jackson Rysavy, Micah Rysavy and Teo Rysavy; two great-great-grandchildren, Sommer Borchert and Adrian Slivka; and two sisters, Mathilde Blomseth, Twin Valley, MN and Hazel Oistad, Rochester, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, R. Joseph Sether, and two sisters, Lillian Berg and Violet Sether.
A private family memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church. Interment of her cremated remains will be at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
