Juanita Sackrider, 80, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008 at Presbyterian Manor. She was born Jan. 23, 1928 in Topeka to Raymond and Irene Mardock Pinger.
Juanita attended the First Church of the Nazarene for many years. She enjoyed playing cards at Garfield Park, painting, quilting, and traveling.
Juanita married Frank Sackrider Oct. 5, 1946 he preceded her in death. Survivors include: Children, Gregg (Sari); Debbie (Mack) Innis; Rance (Laraine); Jann (Kenny) Gray; Scott (Kristin); Grandchildren, Ashley (Matt); Ryan; Race; Dalton; Drake; Valerie; Grant; Great-grandchildren, Charlie; Katie Mae; Izabella; Brother, Gary (Janice) Pinger; Sister, Sylvia Sholty; Nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 at First Church of the Nazarene, 1001 SW Buchanan Topeka, KS 66604. Juanita will lie in state beginning 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. The family will greet friends that evening from 6–7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the church or to Heartland Hospice 1033 SW Gage Blvd. Topeka, KS 66604.
