Juanita Davenport

Juanita J. Davenport, 71, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on December 18, 1933 in Agricola, Kansas, the daughter of Keith and Elizabeth Collins Surbaugh. She lived in Topeka most of her life. She was employed by KNI as a licensed mental health technician. She married Guy M. Davenport on June 25, 1954 in Oskaloosa. He preceded her in death in 1959. Survivors include two sons, Dale Davenport of Hoyt, Daniel Davenport of Eskridge, three grandchildren, Kristin, Mark and Dylan, three sisters, Kay Trout of Overbrook, Donna Arthur of Topeka, Nellie Miles of Topeka and one brother, Robert Roller. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Davenport will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
