Juanita "Pat" Boggs, 90, a long-time resident of the Topeka, died Sunday the 8th of January at Brookdale Topeka.
Born in 1926 in Wichita, KS to Axel and Hazel Nelson, Pat, a dedicated housewife, loved caring for her family.
She enjoyed oil painting, cooking, watching old movies and socializing with friends and family. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. Pat had a knack for gardening, she was quite the "green thumb".
Pat was preceded in death by Colonel Carl "Curly" Boggs, previous Commander of Forbes. Pat very actively supported our troops and their families for 30 years as the First Lady of the 117th, 127th and 190th Groups in Wichita, Hutchinson and Topeka.
Pat was quite the Patriot raising two children who served in the military and also had two grandchildren who served. All four married military members.
She is survived by her daughters Carlene Smith and Sandy Thomas both residing in Florida, her son Pete Boggs of Topeka, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandchildren that brought great joy to her later years.
Private memorial services will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.
