Josephine Randall

Anna Josephine "Jo" Randall, 88, died at Presbyterian Manor of Topeka on February 12, 2006. She was born on August 18, 1917, the eldest child of George and Anna Averill Sire in Offerle, KS.

Jo was an elementary teacher in Kansas and South Dakota, receiving her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Later in life, she was a legal secretary for several years before retiring to Topeka with her husband of 66 years.

Jo married Harold E. Randall on December 25, 1936. He died August 31, 2004.

Jo was also preceded in death by one sister, Dee Hulsey of Tucson, AZ. She is survived by two sisters, Elsie Garrett of Sun City, AZ and Eva Selby of Brewster, KS and one brother, Alva L. Sire of Colorado Springs, CO as well as both her children, John L. Randall of Mankato, and Joanne Kensinger of Topeka, their spouses, 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at the Jellison Chapel at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604.
