Josephine Adams

Josephine F. "JO" Adams,82, of Topeka, passed away, Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
She was born August 2, 1922 in Topeka the daughter of Sam and Rose Calandro.
JO was a 1940 graduate of Topeka High School.
She worked for the Federal Government at Forbes Air Base almost 10 years. She then worked as a clerk/typist for the State of Kansas 16 years and worked at Titles and Registration. Mrs. Adams was a notary.
She was a member of the Goodyear Retiree's Club.
She married Russell H. Adams. He survives. Other survivors include; one daughter, Barbara J. Adams, Topeka; one brother, Albert J. Calandro, Topeka; one sister, Mary Sackett, Topeka; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren two nephews and three nieces. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Adams will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday.
