Joseph "Joe" E. Moreland III, 65, of Topeka, passed away on January 8, 2021.
He was born on September 15, 1955 to Joseph and Virginia (Coffman) Moreland in Wichita, Kansas.
Joe worked as a Planning and Policy Analyst for the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services.
On June 29, 1985, he married Carol Macy in El Dorado, Kansas.
Joe was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Topeka.
Joe had a love for photography and was a KU fan where he graduated with a Master's Degree in Public Administration. He enjoyed working as a Paramedic, Registered Nurse and taking part in anything that had to do with Emergency Medical Services and helping those in need.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Moreland of Topeka; his sisters, Annette (Alan) Lindal of Wichita and Angie (Mark) Schreiber of Emporia; his brother, James Moreland of El Dorado and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2700 SE Virginia, Topeka, KS 66605. Viewing will take place one hour prior to service time.
Interment will follow at Sunset Lawns Cemetery, 2100 Sunset Rd., El Dorado, KS 67042.
Due to Covid-19 those in attendance are asked to wear masks and to practice social distancing.
