Joseph Harold Cochran III, 62, Topeka, passed away at his home on Friday, February 17, 2006.
Joe was born February 7, 1944 in Topeka, the son of Joseph H. Cochran Jr. and Mildred Cochran-Morris.
He entered the U.S. Navy in 1964 and served for 24 years, retiring with the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
Joe was a member of the V.F. W. Post 4809 and the Navy Fleet Reserve, Branch #60, both in Norfolk, Virginia and the American Legion Post #1 in Topeka.
Survivors include his mother, Mildred Morris; a son, James Calvert; a step-daughter, Elizabeth Ann Vincent, all of Topeka; and a sister, Sue Ann Edmonds, Goddard. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph H. Cochran Jr.
No services are planned. Mr. Cochran's cremains will be buried at sea at a later date.
