Joseph "Brent" Buchanan, 46, formerly of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
He was born February 22, 1975, in Hastings, Nebraska, the son of Greg and Joy (McConnell) Buchanan. He graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1993, where he participated in Debate and Forensics and was elected Secretary General of Model UN. He also attended Kansas State University Salina Technology Campus and Conseva Technical College in Kansas City.
Brent owned and operated MediaTrends.net and later worked in various IT positions in Kansas City.
He is survived by his parents, Joy and Greg; sister, Amber (Brad) Rager; niece, Monet; nephew, Jude; and grandmother, Virginia Spencer, all of Topeka.
Private services were held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
