Jolene Steuber

Jolene "Jody" Steuber, 74, of Topeka, passed away, Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Stormont-Vail Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was born November 6, 1931 in Nowata County, OK the daughter of Claude and Minnie Folk.

She is survived by her husband Arnold Steuber and children: Pam (Mike) Duncan, Terry (Mary) Steuber, Liz (Rob) Ginder, Jenny (Troy) Heinen, Darren (Julie) Steuber; and ten grandchildren. Additional survivors include her children: Elbert (Julie) Statzer and Adena Statzer, two grandchildren, one great grandchild and her brother Keith "Sonny" Folk.

Throughout her life her family always came first. Before her illness, she also enjoyed owning a dress shop located here in Topeka and was an avid bowler.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2005 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Topeka Rescue Mission, 600 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS 66608. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
