John W. Purse
Mr. John "Jack" W. Purse, 89, Topeka, Kansas died Wednesday morning, January 29, 2003, at a Topeka care facility. He was born on February 15, 1913 to James A. and Daisy Ward Purse in Chatanooga, TN.
He has resided in Topeka for many years and previously lived in Houston and San Antonio, TX as well as Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of a Methodist church. He was a saleman for Oklahoma Furniture Co. for 40 years.
He married Rosemary Carter in 1951 in Phoenix, Arizona. She preceded him in death on September 4, 1999.
Private inurnment will be at Mt. Hope Mausoleum
