John "J.D." Reece, 85, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015.
He was born October 2, 1929, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Jess and Willa (Cottrel) Reece. He was a graduate of Seaman High School and owned J.D. Reece Roofing & Guttering for over 30 years.
On July 30, 1947, he married Shirley Bare. She preceded him in death on December 3, 1996.
Survivors include a daughter, Danita (Brad) Brunner; and grandchildren, Kristen and Brent.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Auburn Cemetery.
