John Orval Guay

John Orval Guay, 36, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at a Topeka hospital after a lengthy fight with Crohn's Disease. He was born on February 17, 1973 in Topeka, the son of John "Bill" and Debra A. Knodel Guay. He was previously employed by Jostens Yearbook Company during the 1990's. Survivors include his parents, Bill and Debra Guay, his siblings, Heather (Bryce) Whelpley, Brian (Jackie Ortega) Guay, Lisa (Dwayne) Sebo, his paternal grandmother, Thelma Guay, his maternal grandparents, Orval and Arlene Knodel and many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. John was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John "Rich" Guay. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Cremation will follow services. John will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Of America, Mid-America Chapter, 1034 S. Brentwood, Suite 1510, St. Louis, MO 63117.
