John L. Truan

John L. Truan, 95, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2007 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born on May 29, 1911 in Ellis Co., KS, the son of William H. and Marion Blender Truan. He was an Army veteran of WWII where he served in the 103rd Infantry Division of the 7th Army in Europe. He was employed by Victory Life Insurance Company for 27 years before retiring in 1976. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. John married June L. Baughman on September 17, 1962 in Falls City, NE. She survives. Cremation has taken place. Private inurnment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Midland Hospice Care, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606 or to the First United Methodist Church, 600 S.W. Topeka Blvd., Topeka, KS 66603. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
