John J. Hart, 63, of Topeka passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009. He was born on June 16, 1946 in Topeka to Alfred and Gladys (Wolford) Hart.
John was a 1965 graduate of Topeka High School. On June 11, 1971, he married Delpha Nincehelser in Topeka. He was a supervisor for the micro filming department with KDOT and he was a shuttle driver for O'Reilly Auto Parts. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, NHRA and was an avid camper.
John is survived by his wife, Delpha of the home; his son Stephen John Hart of Topeka; three grandchildren, Tristain, Kylee and Lexi Hart all of Topeka; and lots of family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at First Southern Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. John will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel with visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to First Southern Baptist Church, 1912 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66604 or CAPPERS Foundation, 3500 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604.
