John H. Geartz, 65, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 surrounded by loved ones.
He was born October 6, 1955, in Birkenfeld, Germany, the son of John and Sugi (Kawaguchi) Geartz.
He loved to fish and watch wrestling. He enjoyed walking his dog Alex. He started working for Adams Business Forms in 1974 and worked there until his retirement in 2009. He also worked for Securitas in Topeka and as a Home Health Care Taker.
He loved traveling with his wife, talking to new people and making new friends. He loved to watch movies and go out to eat; Chinese food was his favorite. He loved riding in his jeep and his motorcycle.
He was in the United States Army National Guard for 23 years retiring as a Sergeant.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda; daughter, Jessica Orange; son, Jason Geartz; step-sons, Jonathan Crocker and Kaleb Crocker, grandchildren, Alexis Martin, Bryce Johnson, Jr., and Dominik Ridley and great-grandchild, Kendall Quick.
Cremation is planned. A Celebration of his Life will be from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Lake Shawnee Pavilion #1 (by the heated dock).
