John David Couch

John David Couch, 77, of Topeka, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.Surviving family members include his son Jene Couch, his daughters Cynthia Couch and Cathy Couch, his granddaughters, Jena Couch and Indigo Couch, and his grandson, Jonathan Ziegler. He was predeceased by his twin brother Jene Parker Couch, his parents Ben and Annie Couch of Colony, Kansas,his second wife Dora Couch,and his son, Michael David Couch. John Couch served in the 24th infantry division,serving in the Pacific Theatre,worked as a telegrapher for the Santa Fe Railroad, and taught mathematics for 14 years at Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas. Mr. Couch will lie in state from noon Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Midtown Chapel and the family will receive friends from 6:30PM to 7:30P that evening.
