John Campbell, Sr.
John Ellsworth Campbell, 85, formerly of Topeka passed away on July 8, 2008 at Dewey, OK.
He was born in Topeka, KS on November 30, 1922, the son of William Lee and Fern Nihart Campbell.
He married Naomi Rife on March 7, 1947 in Topeka. She died July 17, 1984. Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Foltz and husband, Todd, Dewey, OK; his son, John Campbell, Jr, and wife, Bonnie, Topeka; three grandsons, Brad Foltz and wife, Geri, Bartlesville, OK, Travis Foltz, Dewey, OK, and Cody Campbell of Topeka; his sister, Waunita Oldham, Van Alstyne, TX; a newphew, Larry Fleck and wife, Carolyn, Van Alstyne, TX; two nieces, Linda Ullery and husband, Ralph, Scranton, KS, and Karen Brault of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Don "Sarge" Campbell and his infant brother, Lane Campbell.
Mr. Campell was cremated. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until Noon, Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel in Topeka, Private family inurnment will be at Rochester Cemetery, Topeka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
