John Austin Logan III, 53, of Topeka, died Monday, August 23, 2004 at his home.
He was born April 29, 1951, in Topeka to John Austin Logan II and Mona Logan Magee.
After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After being discharged, he worked as a bricklayer for twenty years. He then attended the Washburn University School of Nursing and graduated first in his class in 1997.
He is survived by:his wife; Bonnie Logan; his mother, Mona Logan Magee;son John Austin Logan IV; daughters; Jodie Logan Arteaga and Jessica Mayhew; stepson; Stephan Marquez; stepdaughters; Jamie Bonet and Danielle Marquez; brother, Pierce Logan and sisters; Christy Logan McDonald and Holly Logan and 6 grandchildren
Mr. Logan will lie in state after 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends from7:00 to 8:30p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m., Friday, August 27, 2004 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
