John Milton Ascott, 76, of Topeka, KS passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020.
He was born April 18, 1944, in Aurora, Illinois, the son of Leonard E. and Mary Anna (Russell) Ascott.
John served four years in the Marine Corps. and worked as a sheet metal fabricator.
Survivors include his children, Andrew Ascott and JoAnne Vanderblomen both of Topeka; his four sisters, Carol Gorman, Cheryl (Charles) Kincade, Janice (James) Kincade and Jeanine (Raul) Montoya all of Topeka; two granddaughters, Kati Ascott of Topeka and Krista Vanderblomen of New Mexico and a grandson, Richard Vanderblomen of New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eugene Ascott.
John enjoyed motorcycles and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
A graveside service will take place 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, KS 66604. Interment will follow.
