Johanna J. Wilson, 43, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2005 at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 22, 1962 in the Netherlands to Mr. and Mrs. Manard.
Johanna later moved to the United States and began her education. She graduated from Empire State College, Rochester, NY with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Photography. She graduated with honors holding recognition on the Dean's Honor Roll.
Johanna was a member of many organizations and opportunities; she traveled for several years singing in a gospel choir, she was a dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous; and her photography interests included children, nature, weddings, and politics.
She worked as a Veteran's counselor in Rochester, NY, later moving to Kansas.
She became a member of the Northland Christian Church in Topeka, where Johanna found her faith to be the stability in her failing health.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel and burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Ms. Wilson will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00PM on Monday and a visitation will be held from 5:30PM to 7:00PM Monday.
