Joe Crowder

Joe R. Crowder, 39, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at a Topeka hospital. He was born on July 11, 1969 in Topeka, the son of John E. and Shirley G. Williams Crowder. He attended Shawnee Heights High School, Emporia State University and Central Missouri State University. He managed The Shack Bar & Grill. Joe is survived by his father, John Crowder of Topeka, brothers, Dennis (Roxann) of Stafford, VA, Kirk Crowder of Frankfurt, Germany, Roger Council of Frankfurt, Germany, sisters, Monica (Rusty) Newell of Topeka, Mary (Doug) Jacobsma of Doon, IA, niece, Kelsey Crowder of Charlotte, NC, nephews, Corey Crowder of Charlotte, NC, Nicholas Crowder of Indianapolis, IN, Ryan Newell and Brent Newell, both of Topeka, and Nathan Schwebach of Boyden, IA. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley G. Crowder on September 21, 2007. Private graveside inurnment services will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 N.W. Rochester Rd., Topeka, KS 66617. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
