Joann Marie Milner, 67, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at her home.
Joann was born April 26, 1939 in Belleville, the daughter of Clell and Lucille (Simmons) Chappell. She grew up in rural Republic county and graduated from Belleville High School in 1956.
She married Robert Lee Milner on December 5, 1964 in Belleville. After many years of employment as a legal secretary and secretary of United Corporation, she joined hands with Robert and created King of the Road Motorcoach. She remained President of the company until their retirement in 2004.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; son, Steven D. Snyder and wife, Carolyn, Cowgill, MO; daughters, Debra J. McNamara and husband, Mike, Topeka, Belinda "Bindy" Barber, Garden Valley, CA, and Theresa L. "Teri" Willes and husband, Mike, Topeka; grandchildren, J.R. Snyder, Dustin Snyder, Calie Jo Craft, Nathan Rawlins, Kayla McNamara, Nikki Willes, Brittany Willes, Tyler Snyder, Chris Snyder, Drew Barber, Dennis Edwards; great grandson, Cameron Craft; and two brothers, Don Chappell and Ken Chappell. She was preceded in death by a son, Gregg Allen Snyder in 1996.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Inurnment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.
