JoAnn Baer died Jan. 10, 2013, at Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka, KS.
She was born June 22, 1928, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of William Earl and Gertrude Helm Pearsall.
She married Charles R. Baer on Sept. 6, 1948, in Topeka. He died November 25, 1989.
JoAnn worked as a clerk in the Supply Office at the VA Hospital for five years. She was the bookkeeper for C.R. Baer Construction for 35 years. She was a member of the Moose Club and enjoyed her bingo.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a son, James C. Baer and his wife, Laura Baer, Burlingame, KS; and two granddaughters, Krystal L. Vokins and her husband, Tai J. Vokins, Lawrence, KS; and Melissa J. Baer and her fiancé Michael Feldhausen, Overland Park, KS.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Penwell Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and sent in care of Penwell Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave. Topeka, KS 66604.
