JoAnn Anderson, 78, Topeka, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009 at Midland Hospice House.
JoAnn was born February 24, 1931 in Topeka, the daughter of Fred and Esther (Bradbury) Munson. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1948 and attended Washburn University.
She worked briefly at Southwestern Bell as an operator. She volunteered at Topeka-Shawnee County Public Library, was a member of Alpha Phi Alumni and attended Trinity Presbyterian Church.
JoAnn married Ray Anderson, Jr. on March 14, 1959 in Kansas City. He died November 29, 1990. Survivors include daughter, Nancy Parsons, Goodyear, AZ; sons, Scott Anderson, Perry, Steve Anderson, Michael Anderson, both of Ft. Lupton, CO, Daniel Anderson, Highlands Ranch, CO; step-son, Brad Anderson, Denver, CO; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
