Jo Ann Philamalee

Jo Ann Philamalee, 85, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Midland Hospice Care.
She was born April 5, 1932 in Topeka, KS to Leo and Dolly Philamalee.
Jo Ann graduated from Topeka High School in 1950 and went to work for the State of Kansas Dept. of Revenue as a Clerk II for 34 years, retiring in 1998.
She was a very active member of her Baptist church and enjoyed studying her Bible. Her church was a focal point, especially in her retirement years.
Jo Ann never married. She is survived by seven cousins, Gary Fargo, Linda Donovan, Mary Ann Stout-Schneider, Verna Mosbrucker, and Virginia Smoot, all of Topeka, Bill Fargo of Bedford, TX and Gene and Genny Philamalee of Marin Valley, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Bonnie.
A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, 820 SW Auburn Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
