Jimmy Andre Hendricks, Sr., of Wichita, was born to Ethel and Bobby Hendricks, Sr., who preceded him in death. He was a master upholsterer, and in his lifetime obtained an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts, a Real Estate Broker license, and a Commercial Vehicle Operators license. He is survived by his daughter, Marcy R. James of Hinesville, GA, two sons, Jimmy A. Hendricks, Jr. and Davoncia A. Hendricks, both of Topeka, six grandchildren, brothers Jackie K. King, Sr. and Bobby D. Hendricks as well as many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Jimmy will be greatly missed! Jimmy will lie in state after noon Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Noon Friday at Second Baptist Church, 424 N.W. Laurent in Topeka. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday on the garden chapel in Topeka Cemetery. Burial will follow. Memorial contributions may be given to the Jimmy A.
