Jerry J. Sicks
Age 75, passed away December 29, 2002 at a Topeka hospice house. He was born November 23, 1927 near Hindsville in Madison County, Arkansas the son of Wilbur A.A. and Iva P. Anderson Sicks. He had lived in the Overbrook area for many years.
Mr. Sicks was a electrican and was a member of electrican's Local Union # 226 IBEW retiring in 1977. He was a member of Disabeled American Veterans and American Legion Post # 0239 of Overbrook.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur A.A. and Iva P. Sicks. A brother Warren Sicks, half brother Bill Rochester and a sister Opal Rulon.
He was married to Wilma P. Austin February 22, 1947 in Topeka, KS She survives:

Funeral Services will be held at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel Thursday, January 2, 2003 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Sicks will lie in state from noon January 1, 2003 until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to Ottawa Hospice sent in care of the funeral home or the Franklin County Cancer Foundation, 116 S. Main, Suite B, Ottawa, KS. 66067.
