Jeffrey (Jeff) D. Rombeck, 53, of Topeka, passed away on August 27, 2023.
He was born on July 31, 1970 to Melvin D. and DeAnna (Alquist) Rombeck in Kansas City,
Missouri and resided in Home, KS.
Jeff attended Marysville High School and received his General Education Diploma.
On June 13, 1997, he married Carrie (Johnson) Rombeck. Jeff and Carrie lived in Bartlesville,
Oklahoma; Phoenix, Arizona; and eventually settled in Topeka, Kansas. This is where they
welcomed their two children, Hannah Rombeck and Gage Rombeck.
Jeff completed trade school from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix, AZ. He also
completed training for his over-the-road CDL and worked as a Dispatcher for Ruan
Transportation at the Target Distribution Center in Topeka. Jeff enjoyed supporting the Chiefs,
riding Harley motorcycles, and gaming with his PubG group, the "United Grumpas". He was
also creative with his art, photoshop, and photography.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Carrie; his children, Hannah and Gage; father, Melvin; sister, Angie
Rombeck-Smith, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother; DeAnna Rombeck.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Penwell-Gabel -
Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka, Kansas. Burial will take place immediately following the service at
Prairie Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday,
September 4, 2023.
