Jeanne Shreve

March 16, 1920 — August 17, 2012

Jeanne Marie Shreve, 92, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Brewster Place. She was born on March 16, 1920 in Topeka, Kansas to Paul and Marie (Clark) Shreve.

Jeanne graduated from Hayden High School and attended the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth. She was an accounts representative for Southwestern Bell, where she retired after 30 years of service.

Jeanne was a past member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Telephone Pioneers. She spent many hours researching her ancestry. She was a long time member of Daughters of the American Revolution where she held state and national offices.

Jeanne is survived by her cousin, Judge Stephen (Kay) Jones of Lyndon, KS.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 21 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. A private family burial will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
