Jean Schuster

Jean Mae Schuster, 92, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. Jean was born on March 2, 1916 in Horton, Kansas the daughter of Leslie N. and Ruby M. (Hawley) Anderson. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1933; attended Lowman United Methodist Church and was a lifelong resident of Topeka.

She married John F. Schuster on April 15, 1948 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1990. Jean is survived by two sons: Robert L. Wilkinson and his wife Glenda, Grantville; and David Wilkinson and his wife, Savona of Topeka; a brother, Leslie N. Anderson, Jr. of Topeka; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Anderson.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Mount Hope Cemetery. She will lie in state after 1 pm today at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel where family will greet friends from 6 - 7 pm this evening.
