Jean E (Norton) Low, age 83, Overland Park, formerly of Topeka, passed away January 4, 2004. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2004 at Penwell-Gable Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th, Topeka, KS. She will lie in state on Wednesday, January 7, 2004 from 1 to 9 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town ChapelMemorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care 200 SW Frazier Cr., Topeka, KS 66606.
Jean was born November 19, 1920 in Cottonwood Falls, KS the daughter of Thomas and Catherine (Austin) Norton. Mrs. Low moved with her family to Topeka and attended Topeka High School and The University of Kansas. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Henri Low, Jr. Survivors include her two sons, Henri Low, III, St. Pete Beach, FL, and Thomas Low, Overland Park; daughter Dana Shawgo and husband Russ Shawgo, Overland Park; and her brother, Bill Norton, Texas.
