Jean Eldeen May, 82 of Topeka Kansas passed away on October 7th, 2018.
Jean was born August 11, 1936 in Hutchinson Kansas to Eldon E. and Leona M. (Newlin) Fast. Jean grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas, graduating from Hutchinson High School 1954.
In March of 1957, she went on a blind date and met the man she would later marry, Bobbie D. May, on November 24, 1957. He preceded her in death September 15, 2018. Also preceding her in death was son Stephen A. May on January 23, 2018.
Jean retired from Security Benefit (1997) & OFG Financial Services (2005). She was a long time member of First Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir. She loved to take care of her beautiful flowers that she and Bob planted in their back yard. Her other love, was her puppy Pepper.
Jean was blessed with four Grandchildren: Jessica Guyle (Aaron) of Auburn, Jeremiah Guyle (Hannah) of Topeka, Sierra Guyle (Lukas) of Topeka, Stephen May II of Joplin and seven Great-Grandchildren: Tucker, Dalton, Ryne, Liam, Xander, Keaton and Kord.
Jean is survived by her daughter Kristel (May) Guyle, grandkids and great-grandkids. Other survivors, Sister Joan Tolar (Robert) of Hutchinson, several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Jean was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Ted Hesse.
The family will greet friends thirty minutes prior to service time at First Lutheran Church, 1234 SW Fairlawn Rd. Topeka, KS 66604 on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Funeral Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a lunch to follow the service.
Private family burial services will be at Fairlawn Memorial Cemetery in Hutchinson Kansas.
